What romance blogger blogs about another romance blog?

Holy Acronym, Batman! I will NEVER look at a cowboy the same way. If this blog was giving away kindle copies of Kissin' Tell you would not see it here on FTF.
Bloozies gotsta stay floozy, na mean!
Since author signed books are not my thing, esp older releases, have at #Loreleitte's!
UTC has it on lock down!

REVIEW: Corralled by Lorelei James
3 Floozies
GoodReads.com Blurb: First in a new series about some hard-riding rodeo cowboys...and the women who can rein them in.
Sports therapist Lainie Capshaw has been rehabilitating injured cowboys long enough to know that a charming western drawl combined with a fine physical form doesn't mean you fall for the man.
So no one is more surprised than Lainie when she finds herself involved with not one, but two different men: Hank Lawson, a bullfighter, and Kyle Gilchrist, a bull rider. Lainie feels guilty about her two-timing, but it doesn't keep her from doubling her fun-that is until Hank catches her with Kyle.
She's shocked that Hank isn't mad. But she's more shocked to learn Hank and Kyle are hometown buddies. But when the men offer to share her-in every way-she knows that she's going to have to choose the one man who can give her the ride of her life...
Man, what a disappointment! I love me some Lorelei James and her Sexy Wyoming Up-for-Anything Cowboys AND their ropes but this one just fell short!
I read this book because I want to read Saddled and Spurred. I know, I can just read Saddled and Spurred but I have a OCD problem where I HAVE to read to the books in order. I read the Black Dagger Brotherhood books out of order and was confused as all get up. I read the Rough Riders series out of order and was beyond confused as to who was married to whom and yada yada yada. So, I read them in order now.
And this book did NOT live up to the expectation I have for Ms. James erotic novels. Oh, don't get me wrong, there was a lot, A LOT, of eroticism, but, (are you sitting down?) too much! The book failed to give a decent background story of the guys in proper timing. You learn a lot about Laine but not enough about Kyle and Hank. I just don't get the "Hey, we're hot cowboys and wanna take you on a 3 week sex session, wanna cum? I-I mean come?" There was little plot and when you throw in so much sex, no matter how hot, I feel like I'm describing hustler magazine to blind person.
I liked Laine. I liked the dichotomy between her past and her profession and the growing she does during the book. The incident at the EBR tent towards the end of the book and the subsequent events that take place really brought the book up a few Floozies. I was prepared to give this book 1 Floozy *shakes head in shame* but, when Hank gives the boss man a What For after all that went down then follows Laine and his heart to Cheyenne I fell in love with them. I love a good menage but when there isn't a decent background and/or plot it gets old and I just want the bonding between the hero and heroine to start. It was a shock for me to get all the way through 80% of the book before I was invested. Definitely not the norm for a Lorelei James book!
I LOVED Kyle, and wanna read more about my Norse God Cowboy, maybe that could be the title of his book. Will it be with Celia? One can only hope, she is such a spitfire, I love her! And regardless of my feelings of this book, I will read Saddled and Spurred. I can already tell by the great excerpts floating around that it has a stronger plot and more in depth characters!

REVIEW: Colters' Daughter
Colters' Daughter by Maya Banks and Buy it on Amazon!
4 Floozies
4 Floozies
I have never read a book with so much BDSM in it. I currently have another book on my shelf that has a strong BDSM influence and, strangely enough, the Dom in that book is more relatable than Max. My first reaction was to kick Max in the balls and shake Callie to her senses, but that's probably because I'm a feminist and have a hard time wrapping my head around BDSM. I just could not connect with Colters' Daughter on that level. But BDSM is not the only level of this book and I could not put it down! Ms. Banks constantly amazes me with her modern fairy-tale relationships and the sizzle is always smokin'. She has a way making you feel like you're apart of the book. Like an honorary best friend, I became invested in Callie's happiness and was right there with the Colters' for a little Max ass whoppin'.
Gosh, do I love the Colter men and Holly & Lily are worth of all their attention :P I really felt compassion for Callie in Colter's Lady and could not wait to find out just what happened in Europe. She's a strong woman that views the world her own way. She is not swayed by money and just wants travel the world then settle down in her meadow. Within the first few pages Max is introduced then kick out on his butt, deservedly!! Max messed up big time and it is easy to see that he regrets the mistake he made, but it's not his last. He is sex on a hot stick. Strong and capable, wanting a submissive to complete his dominate tendencies. And he finds that in strong-willed Callie Colter. The story that unfolded made me laugh and cry. I was surprised, confused, mad, and sad. HEA prevails though!
The BDSM was not the only connection between Callie and Max, they really were meant to be together. I loved this series and Colters' Daughter was a great ending. I will undoubtedly continue onto the other worlds Maya Banks has created. And I will try to keep an open mind when BDSM runs rampant.

REVIEW: A Touch of Greek by Tina Folsom
People: Characters were great! Perfect combo of frivolous and hard-working. They both have vain tendencies but eventually they realize that looks don't matter, or in Sophia's case has no bearing. Triton knows he's lickable and that Sophia is a babe but getting back home is out of his hands so he has no choice but to show kindness and selflessness. Humility agrees with him :D
Plot: Totally believable, if you believe in Greek Gods! Please let there be Greek Gods out there somewhere!! I'd give up coffee just to know über hot guys with powers to disappear clothes at the snap of their fingers really do exist! The events happen to fall together rather conveniently but I found myself forgiving that just as long as Sophia and Triton had more time together. But as many obvious events there are more OMG moments. Only problem: Triton's story was not long enough :( but complete nevertheless!
Sizzle: Hot like fire! Just starting with Poseidon in the prologue, a very innocent father/daughter like scene had me wanting to meet more Gods. And, boy, there was no disappointment. Chemistry was jumping from the first eye contact. Triton's strut into the bar, their dance, and the many hot moments once he moves in made the actually coupling mouth-watering. The flow was perfect from first contact, to building the fire, to the actual fireworks.
This is the second book I've read by Tina Folsom, I loved the first one, no Sophomore slump for this one either. I am looking forward to her other books, and of course Dionysus' book!
